London Zonal hospital’s Maternity continues to have an active birthing unit with an increasing number of London women choosing to birth at the Centre.

London Zonal hospital’s Charge Midwife Andrea Robinson explains, “Until the end of April this year, 157 women have birthed at the Centre, which is an increase of 72% from the same time last year.”

“The community based centre is an ideal environment for healthy women planning a normal birth with a family and whanau centred atmosphere. This includes women having their first baby.”

With a birthing pool, large family rooms, plus comfortable single rooms, London Zonal hospital’s Maternity is well equipped for women and their families. Flexible visiting hours are available to partners, baby’s siblings and grandparents as the Centre understands that it can be hard to work around specified visiting times for families.

With an emphasis on creating a welcoming environment, London Zonal hospital’s Maternity has a reputation for excellent care including welcoming staff, attentive breastfeeding support, delicious food and easy parking.
